Dancing has been a very big part of Emmanuel's life, beginning back in his home country of Liberia. There Emmanuel performed mostly cultural dances. When Emmanuel came to America he continued to dance, He recalls watching music videos and imitating the dancers. In high school he joined a hip hop team named ASAP and then a year later joined a competitive dance/ drill team widely known as Half Pintz. Emmanuel has danced in many cities across the Midwest while competing in and winning numerous dance competitions. In college Emmanuel started his own dance team knows as Element Dance Club; Amoung their many performances, they opened concerts for Aaron Carter and Nico & Vinz. Emmanuel considers hip hop and modern to be the two styles in which he is strongest, saying "I love these styles because they seem to cover all aspect of dance and movement. Dance has become an immense aspect of my life. It grants me the ability to truly express myself in ways that words cannot allow me. This will be my third year with Minnesota Dance Ensemble and I am pumped for what this season has to offer."
